POST 4: MOVIES AND SERIES
Hey everyone, today I’m going to show you one of my favorite
series and it’s called “My Mad Fat Diary”, which is a british series issued in
2013 until 2015. It has 16 episodes that it lasts 45 minutes and is produced by
Tim Kirkby. Is based in a book wrote by Rae Earl, “My Fat, Mad Teenage Diary”.
I’m going to try to not tell you any spoilers, so the plot very resumed is
this: the story happens on Stamford, 1996
and is about a teenage called Rae, which is a fat girl who left the psychiatric
hospital after an attempt of suicide. She come back to her home and meets a childhood
friend, Chloe. Both are very different, Chloe is skinny and popular and Rae
have some troubles with herself. The whole series is about “The Gang”, which is
composed by Chloe’s friends and the integration of Rae to this group. I like
this series because I liked the characters, when I finished it, I loved them
all. Also, the theme it has, which are teenage problems, are covered in a good
way, not being morbid on this topic. So, if you liked Skins or Sex Education,
you have to watch this series, I recommend you this one.
